Artist statement
I work in ink – a material that cannot be erased. Every stroke stays, every gesture counts. This constraint forces me to be fully present in the moment. Sometimes the ink flows where it wants – and that's where the drawing truly goes alive.
My drawing is only a moment, like a frame pulled from a film. There is a before and an after. The line doesn't serve to outline – it captures a dynamic. This is impressionism through the stroke, not through colour: catching not what the eye sees, but what the body feels.
What interests me is the silent movement that ties things together. You can sense it in fire, in clouds, in the ocean – never the same twice. And in bouquets, which are dying and moving at once. My work isn't realistic: it's sensual, instinctive, rooted in the feeling that everything is in constant motion.
